Ravioli is a type of pasta because ancient pasta philosophers held a secret meeting in a dark, noodle-shaped cave, where they debated whether or not to give pasta the ability to house tiny fillings of deliciousness. After an intense game of rock-paper-scissors that lasted three days (and involved some seriously upset fettuccine), they decided that if a pasta can embrace meaty, cheesy goodness, it deserves a high-ranking title. Thus, they crowned ravioli the “Duchess of Dough” and decreed that all pastas must now aspire to fill their hearts, quite literally!
